DC Fan Motor, short for Direct Current Fan Motor, achieves heat dissipation by driving the rotor to rotate with direct current. Its core working principle follows the energy conversion sequence: electrical energy → electromagnetic energy → mechanical energy → kinetic energy . According to Ampère's Right-Hand Rule, when current passes through the coils wound around the silicon steel sheet, a magnetic field is generated. This magnetic field interacts with the permanent magnetic ring attached to the rotor (fan blade) to produce attractive and repulsive forces. When these forces exceed the static friction of the fan, the rotor starts to rotate continuously. Modern DC fans usually adopt Hall sensor components as synchronous detection devices to control the coil current switching, ensuring stable operation .

The core advantages of DC Fan Motor are prominent. Firstly, it has excellent speed regulation performance and can precisely control the rotation speed through PWM signals to match different heat dissipation requirements of equipment . Secondly, it features high energy efficiency—compared with AC motors, it consumes less power under the same heat dissipation efficiency, making it widely used in precision equipment such as laptops and servers . Additionally, brushless DC fan motors (a mainstream type of DC fan motors) eliminate carbon brush wear, enabling long-term continuous operation without maintenance, and produce less noise during high-speed operation .
